Friends of Chichester & District Citizens Advice Bureau
This is a local society of friends and supporters whose objectives are to promote and assist the work of the Bureau.
Our main task is to raise money through various fund-raising activities but we also welcome any other financial
contributions, all of which is directed towards improving facilities for clients and staff at the Bureau.
This year (2007) we are holding a dinner in support of the CAB on 10th November at the splendid Vicars Hall in the heart of the
Cathedral precinct which promises to be a special occasion. In October 2008 we are hosting a concert by a celebrated male-voice
choir at St. Paul's.
These activities and others are run by a committee whose President is the Dean of Chichester, and we would welcome new members
who would like to become involved in raising essential additional funds which the Bureau urgently needs. Money raised has been used
to re-equip the Bureau with new computers and last year we were able to update our telephone system, considerably improving
communications between advisors and clients of whom nearly 20,000 contacted the Bureau last year.
If you would like to join the Friends please contact the Secretary, Jeremy Williams (telephone: 01243 811922), and we will be
delighted to hear from you.
